Vin Diesel has confirmed that Riddick:Furya, the fourth installment in The Chronicles of Riddick film series, is in production, as he recently shared a behind-the-scenes image from the upcoming film on his social media.
Taking to Instagram, Diesel, who has starred as the titular character throughout the film series, uploaded a black-and-white photo of himself behind the wheel of a vehicle while a camera operator was seated in the passenger seat. This is the second behind-the-scenes photo he has shared from the set of Riddick:Furya in less than a week, suggesting that filming is going smoothly for the new project.
The Chronicles of Riddick series began with Pitch Black in 2000 and was followed by The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004, and Riddick. The second installment made $115.8 million, the highest in the franchise, while Riddick earned $98.3 million and Pitch Black earned $53.2 million.
Little information has been revealed yet regarding casting, and no release date has been announced yet for Riddick: Furya.
