Actress Emily Blunt revealed that her daughters thought she was one of the "meanest" people in the world after watching her performance in 'The Devil Wears Prada'.

The 41-year-old actress, who has daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 7, with husband John Krasinski, 44, played the catty fashion magazine assistant Emily Charlton in the 2006 comedy. She revealed that her character was so brutal it left her kids stunned.

She told Page Six about their reaction after seeing her performance: “They thought I was the meanest person they’ve ever me.”

Emily added about the lasting impact of the film on fans: “It’s incredible that it has such an indelible fingerprint on people… and it’s quoted to me every week.”
